John graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working with the collegiate chapter of EWB in Lawrence, he decided to pursue involvement in the professional chapter of the group in Kansas City. In his free time, John enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and traveling.

Henry is a recent graduate of the University of Kansas and volunteered on both regional and local EWB projects with the KU student chapter. Since graduating, he has worked in overhead transmission at Burns & McDonnell. He is originally from St. Louis and for fun competes in auto racing and loves to cook.

Anna graduated with a B.S. In Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. She currently works as an Assistant Chemical Engineer in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical group of Burns & McDonnell. Anna has been a member of EWB since college and has traveled to Bolivia for a glacial run-off collection and distribution system. In her free time, Anna enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking.

Harland graduated KU in 2023 majoring in Civil Engineer. He now works at Black and Veatch on Water Treatment Plants and Federal site projects.  In school, he got involved with EWB as a student and served as their Director of Membership and President. Through these roles, he was able to be part of an Eco-Latrine project in Bolivia and a Source Water project in Uganda. He was born in the Philippines and loves to travel and help others, which drew me into EWB. He also loves being outdoors, sports, hiking, video games, and meeting new people. ​

With over 30 years of experience, Steven is now semi-retired and works as an Independent Contractor for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. His background includes: Oil, Gas, Chemical, Pipelines, Compressor stations, Power (coal, nuclear, combined cycle, simple cycle, solar, BESS, wind turbine)  Electrical Transmission & Distribution & Substations, Facilities, and Aviation. During his career he was a Department Manager 15 years with Burns & McDonnell Engineering; with other field roles including QA/QC, Superintendent, Turnover Manager, Startup & Commissioning, and Site Manager. 

 

His passion is volunteering. He has been a volunteer with Engineer's Without Borders Kansas City chapter (EWB-KC) since 2023, when he joined the Yucuruchi project team to complete a rainwater catchment system in Laredo, Yucuruchi, Peru. The water system will support 132 villagers. Since 2010, he has also volunteered with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Other various organizations; volunteer at Children's Mercy Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City, MO, ACED Mentoring, and Christmas in October.
