11th Annual Sandtastic Volleyball Tournament Recap

Last Saturday, November 17th, the Kansas City Chapter of Engineer's Without Borders hosted its 11th annual Sandtastic Volleyball Tournament fundraiser. The tournament was a great success due to the commitment and enthusiasm shown by all those associated with EWB-KC. Thanks to everyone's effort, we were able to raise over $4,000 to support the ongoing EWB-KC project in the Dominican Republic.

Hosted at Volley Beach in Kansas City, MO, the tournament had both recreational and competitive divisions. After a couple hours of solid action, Sausagefest and HDR came out on top of the competitive and recreational divisions respectively.

Burns & McDonnell and Brinkmann Constructors served as corporate sponsors of the event, and they deserve a big thanks for their support. Without the help of local companies, events like Sandtastic and the implementation of EWB projects would not be possible.
